Family History Library in Salt Lake City,
Utah. I checked the card catalog for all references to Whitchurch,
Hampshire, England. Microfilm Batch #496688 & 833374

Then I reviewed the two microfilms and found "no Foster's" getting married in Whitchurch, Hampshire, England for this 200 year period of time. Since there are about 300 parishes in Hampshire, you have to be very careful saying you really saw the exact area you want. Since I found some Foster's in the printed book form I believe they must also show in the microfilm copies. I reviewed the book, volume 8 edited by W.P.W. Phillimore, S. Andrews & J. F. Williams. and found 5 Foster's getting married in Whitchurch, Hampshire, England during the 1600's. Pg 106, V1, Henrie Weston & Anne Foster, 22 Feb 1626 |

Poor persons of the Parish receiving aid from the Church. No
Foster's or Ransome names listed as moving into or out of the Parish
during the time period of 1670-1843. No Tenants listed by the name
of Foster. From this film and the one above I get the feeling
that my Richard Foster born in 1723 supposedly in Whitchurch, Hampshire,
England and living there with his father Richard (b.1695) until about 1633 when he is
found in the records of Essex, Virginia and married to a Sarah
Fox, |
